    Beekeepers Take Note

Printable of a Langstroth Hive Inspection Note

Every beek has their own way of doing things. The old joke is that when you ask 10 beekeepers their opinion… you get the idea. When I first started beekeeping I had no fluffin clue about what I was doing. I made a lot of mistakes. One mistake I didn’t make was to start writing down what was going on inside the hive every time I opened it up.

I did this for a few reasons. First, since I was new, I needed to write down what I saw so that I could go look it up or ask a master beekeeper. Second, I’m fairly, ok a little, OCD.

I’ve tried a few different hive notes systems, some free and paid apps for the iOS, but I’ve never found a system that worked for me. So I made my own and am giving it away.

It’s a 8.5″ x 5.5″ PDF that can be downloaded and printed at home. I also offer printed and wire-bound versions for sale, here. If you’re going to download it and share it, please attribute it to me and send a little traffic karma my way.

    Download the PDF here.

Send me feedback if you find this helpful or if you think something is missing.
